Meet Adam. At the age of 21, Falcon embarked on a national tour, playing for an act, opening for the Bee Gees. That experience sparked Falcon’s musical career. Some of the artists that he’s worked and/or shared the stage with are Roberta Flack, Sophie B. Hawkins, Whitney Houston, B.B. King, Eric Clapton, Jim Lauderdale, Robert Palmer, Phyllis Hyman, Peter Gabriel, and Nona Hendryx. “Either recording an album for The Village People or playing with Jonathan Butler on The Tonight Show With Johnny Carson, it was one big musical trip” says Falcon.
Stepping out on his own, Adam Falcon opened shows for James Cotton Blues Band, Matt “Guitar” Murphy, The Wailers, Jim Lauderdale, Tower of Power, and his journey continues. Writing a second song for the multi-Grammy winner George Benson, titled “True Blue,” got Falcon noticed by The Song Writers Hall of Fame. It honored him with the Abe Olman Scholarship Award for Songwriting in 2007.
Another composition was used later for the national television series, The Injustice Files. That song is titled Like A Soldier, from Falcon’s 2009 CD Bohemian 959. The CD received the following reviews. “Small melodies frame the voice of a classic crooner with influences from Seal to Smokey Robinson, but when he gets his groove on more aggressively with SoulSatisfied and Like A Soldier or shows a fondness for the blues on Better Days, he makes an equally formidable impact.” (M-Music & Musicians)
The Light Shines is Adam Falcon’s most recent effort. The EP, released in 2015, marks his fifth recording to date. The moods on this record will take you on a ride from New Orleans to the Caribbean and drop you off somewhere in the Delta, with stops along the way. One track, that stands out is Woke Up Cryin’. This slow, dark and haunting blues made Falcon a semi-finalist in the International Songwriters Competition, as well landing him a nomination in the blues catagory for the Independent Music Awards.
